So Kranz and I stopped by to see our vintage master Dr. Shapiro!! This guy has Vintage frames on lockdown. I was seriously impressed by his knowledge and selection of vintage frames. He's a serious GURU when it comes to all things vintage (boomboxes, clothing, sneakers, etc.....). Checkout his website here.

Here's J-hova rocking the LV x Kanye "Dons" kicks. I'm not a fan of the shoes, or Jay-Z's fits in this pic. I know he wears really nice suits from time to time and that he vocalized that he no longer wears jerseys cuz he's a more mature person and needs to look grown up. Plus making all that money, how else are people gonna take you seriously. WELL, this outfit is too funny, what's up with the extra long jeans that bunch up around the ankles?? And the tight cardigan with the white tee underneath?? Tight top.....loose & too long bottom. Not sure if Jay-Z dresses himself or if he's got a stylist?? But he needs to look in the mirror 1nce in a while and see that he looks ridiculous....just check the person's face in the top right corner?! I think the face says it all!!

Let me introduce the.......NIKE AIR MAX 1 ATMOS VIOTECH.

This is 1 of my favorite air max 1 of all-time. Colorway is absolutely ridiculous. The only 1 thing I would change would have to be a mesh toe-box! And that's it.....wrap it up and "throw it in the bag" a-la fabolous and the Dream.

"This amazing colorway was first released and inspired by the ATMOS shop in Japan and made it to the USA as a Quickstrike release to a few small boutique shops. Released in limited amounts.

1 slight problem is the fact that the leather toe-box creases right out of the box. Not a good-look in my book!!! Damnit!

Gold Swoosh on the heels are super-duper gaudy......Bling Bling!!! This was 1nce a Holy grail of mine, but I've since been able to track down 2 pairs. 1 to rock and the other to STOCK!!!

So we had back 2 back sunny days in the MTL and I had to take advantage cuz we've been having some real shitty weather of late. So here we have another installment of "It Was A Good Day" - a day when I break out a fresh new pair of sneaks. Trust me, this will be happening a lot more often these days, especially if the weather co-operates.

Let me introduce.......NIKE AIR FOOTSCAPE WOVEN CHUKKA.

BO KNOWS FIXED!!!

So I recently got a Fixed Gear Bike built for my shop to kinda help promote the store (and also help get me around and help me stay fit). The Bike was inspired by the Nike Air Trainer 1 Chlorophyl (aka McEnroe's or Bo Jackson's - click the Bo Jackson link to see the OG commercial).



It's a favorite sneaker of mine so I got Dylan Adair (Faux Amis) to help me come up with the concept. Dylan helped me with the design and sourcing the right parts.

It all starts with the Volume Cutter Frame (3rd generation). I LOVE the logo for the company!! It's a Sub woofer and since I DJ, it was perfect!



B43 rims. Fi'zi:k seat. BMX inspired handle bars and grips (I was really into BMX when I was growing up). Profile Hubs. We sourced Anodized green MKS pedals, spoke nipples & crank plate bolts. Miche seat post. Finally, a carbon fibre fork that anchors the front end.

After deciding on the parts, I got Sylvester from Brakeless to build it and put it together. Many thanks to the Brakeless crew for taking the time to build my bike on such short notice. Gotsole decals were from Sticky Media and they were put on by Rob (speakerbruiser - Thanks again for hooking up the job on the BMX handle bars, it looks dope).



I'm extremely happy with the bike and ride it regularly. I'm currently brakeless and working on riding it properly. I guess it will take sometime and patience (maybe a helmet and a bell would help...LOL.)
