OAKLEY X STAPLE COLLABORATION

So here's a look at 2 brand new STPL X Oakley shades. First up is the "Radar" which looks to have a golf ball dimples on the frames. I'm an avid golfer so I can totally relate to these frames. Pretty cool idea to have that type of texture and feel on the frames. Solid color way on the Radar, kinda reminds me of Lemon (Lens) & Limes (End of the arms and the nose bridge clips). Not sure if these were designed for golf, but they definitely look the part. I actually wear a pair of Oakleys for golf. They help me see the golf course landscape/terrain better and also assists in watching the my balls trajectory and roll. These will be available sometime this Month @ Oakley flagship stores.

Here's the 2nd pair of shades that Staple helped design. It's got that Retro 80's looking design that was at the time coined as being "futuristic". Very 80's and Very Retro. 1984 to be exact. I can see Kanye rocking these BIG-TIME. Especially with it's pipe cleaner type frames. They remind me of Sesame street character "Big Bird". Like I said, Very 80's. These Eyeshades are kinda cool looking, but not sure if I can pull it off. Unless I start to dress like some dudes on Miami Vice. Well, everyone is rocking deck shoes nowadays, why not STPL Oakley Eyeshades. Extremely limited to 150 pieces globally.

OAKLEY ELITE PROGRAM. C-SIX!

I had the privelige of getting a preview of the OAKLEY Elite program. Thanks to the Canada Oakley crew for the Sushi and the Veuve Clicquot. I was seriously impressed by the R&D put into designing and making of the C-Six. Only Oakley can do this type of program and have it so Exclusive. "I remember asking someone from the Oakley camp, "why make an ultra-limited, super-expensive, unique carbon-fibre pair of sunglasses that would go over many peoples heads (including Oakley fans). The C-Six would only be appreciated by a handful of people, mostly people who can afford the $4500 price tag. FYI, only 4 pairs will be available in Canada (that's how limited they are.) The pair that is suppossed to come to the Montreal is already SOLD. Apparently the buyer has a website that catalogs every single piece of Oakley sunglasses ever made. Now that's serious.

OAKLEY LOVE.....THANKS!

Just taking the time to thank Oakley for having me play during the Ste. Catherine St. sidewalk sale last weekend. I had the great opportunity to play alongside a really kool cat who I enjoy spinning with and just hanging out. I'm talking about Dj Psychology. We have so much in common, it's ridiculous (more in another post).

Well the weekend was awesome and a lot of fun. We got to play all types of music and had the crowds flocking to the Oakley booth (the free gear helped.....a lot). It was kool to hear Psychology on the M-I-C interacting with the crowd. Redbull supplied the drinks, Oakley provided the FREE stuff and Psychology and I supplied the beats.

Well Oakley (and Psychology) made sure that I did not leave empty handed. So here's what I received for playing the weekend and just hanging out.


Rolling carry-on suitcase full of gear!!!


1 Pair of golf shoes (real comfy), 2 pairs of Frogskins, Wallet, Money clip, Gold Hat, Pants, Cuban straw hat and 2 pairs of sunglasses for the Wife.




Damn I love the Frogskins. I can NEVER have enough!!
