Here are some cool photos taken @ the Mavericks event that took place 2 weeks ago @ off the hook Upper Ground Boutique. It was an awesome event that was highlighted by Custom T-Shirts and Hooded Sweatshirts. Music was supplied by none other than Dj Psychology!!

MY WATCHES. VOLUME 1 - VINTAGE 1972 OMEGA SPEEDMASTER PROFESSIONAL MARK II

I'm a HUGE watch aficionado. It's been a couple of years that I've really been into timepieces. A few years back, I realized that I didn't own a a good watch. I didn't wear any jewelry, no rings or chains. So I thought to myself, why don't I buy myself a really good watch since I don't wear any accessories of any kind. I remember years ago, I read an article in GQ magazine that stated "every man should own a really nice watch that is classic and goes with their respective lifestyle". This has always stuck in my mind. So every time I look into buying a watch, I make sure it fits my lifestyle and would go with my wardrobe. I play quite a bit of sports (specifically basketball), so most of my watches tend to be sporty. But I also enjoy wearing suits for special nights or occasions, so I had to get myself a nice suit watch.

So I figured that I would blog about some of the watches I own and watches that I would LOVE to get. So first up is my latest acquisition.

VINTAGE 1972 OMEGA SPEEDMASTER PROFESSIONAL MARK II

I got this amazing watch from the man known as "Mr. Omega", Hans from Montreal. He's been repairing Omega watches for over 30 years and is 1 of the North America's top Omega specialists in terms of repairs and servicing. This watch's original owner was an Airplane maintenance mechanic who bought it brand new in 1972.

Hans acquired it from the Original owner and added it to his own personal collection. "In all the years of servicing Omega watches, this is only the 2nd Speedmaster Mark II that was worth adding to his collection. Hans had his first Speedmaster Mark II years before, but regrettably sold it to another client of his.

I still don't know how I managed to convince Hans to sell me this watch from his personal collection. I think a good buddy of mine Paysano had a lot to do with it. Thanks again for helping me get this watch. I owe you, BIG!!!

So I somehow managed to get this watch from Hans. I know he was reluctant to sell it because he was hesitant when handing it over to me. So I had to reassure him that "I would NEVER sell this watch. It will stay in my family and will be passed on from me to my kids."

"The Speedmaster Professional Mark II was introduced in 1969 and marks the first departure from the main moonwatch line to have been made available to the general public. This model along with the Mark IV are the only models of the Mark Series to consistently have the Professional moniker... Only some Mark III's and no Mark V's are marked "Professional", while all Mark II's and Mark IV's are." - Link

SNEAKERNEWS - WHAT DID YOU WEAR TODAY TOP 20.

So every now and then I post some sneakers, that I wear on a daily, on Sneakernews. They have this section on their site called "WDYWT"- What Did You Wear Today? Every week the compile the Top 20 entries and last week, I cracked the Top 20 twice. They receive over 120 entries every week (the numbers keep rising). It's nice to know that there are people who recognize and admire the sneakers that I wear. They don't call me KID K.I.C.K.S. for nothing. If you guys LOVE the sneakers you're wearing, you should post it on Sneakernews and show the world what's on your Feet.

MAVERICKS: OFF THE HOOK AND NIKE SPORTSWEAR EVENT.

I stopped by Off the Hook in Montreal last night to check out the Mavericks event held on the 3rd floor in the Gallery. It was an amazing event that offered the customization of A Nike T-shirt or an AW77 Hooded sweatshirt. You had the choice to embroider on a T-shirt or choose patches for the Hoody. It was pretty simple. You buy your t-shirt or Hoody, then you decide what patches you would like to put on designated spots. I went an all-Black motif and went STEALTH. It was a great turnout with Music by the one and only DJ Psychology and rinks by Red bull and Boris. There was also a space set aside where you can take photos solo or with friends. These will be put up on the Nike Sportwear and Off the Hook websites. Shout out to the Off the Hook crew for a great event and for always bringing kool events like this to Montreal.

PANERAI - PANERISTI 10TH ANNIVERSARY

1 of my favorite watches offered by Panerai. The Luminor Base is the Original watch that was given to Naval officers by Italian Navy. I own # 091 of 200 Destro (Left Handed) Luminor Base with a Sapphire Crystal back casing that exposes the guts of this workhorse.

Now this is another great example of a watch that I would love to own. It's the 10th Anniversary Watch of the "PANERISTI". An awesome looking watch that screams "rareness" loud and clear. Only 300 are available. You know it will be really difficult to track down. I wonder where it will be available and how much??

LEVI'S AND BROOKS BROTHERS COLLABORATION.

I think this is a great connection here. Both are considered American Classics and they prove it with their collections. Strictly staples that should be in everybody's closets.
