ADIDAS SLVR 2010 - FALL/WINTER 2010.

This is a prime example of why I have been a HUGE Adidas fan the last 2-3 years. Adidas has lines that cater to an Older, more mature customer that appreciates well designed clothes and shoes. I'm a big fan of the O by O Originals lines, especially the Kazuki and Beckham (designed by James Bond of UNDFTD) products. Y-3 Adidas is also a great line, with amazing designs by Yohji Yamamoto. That brings us to the SLVR line by Adidas. while VERY limited in distribution, SLVR is an awesome line that uses subtle branding and top-notch quality materials. The cuts are slim, but still not to tight. SLVR is always on the leading edge of fashion and seem to be driven to make Classic pieces that stand the test of time. Not really sure where you can buy SLVR, but I shop @ the SLVR & Y-3 store in the Design district in Miami. Great location that always treats the customers like royalty.

Well here's a few new pieces for the 2010 Fall/Winter collection. Once again, SLVR doesn't disappoint.

OAKLEY X STAPLE COLLABORATION

So here's a look at 2 brand new STPL X Oakley shades. First up is the "Radar" which looks to have a golf ball dimples on the frames. I'm an avid golfer so I can totally relate to these frames. Pretty cool idea to have that type of texture and feel on the frames. Solid color way on the Radar, kinda reminds me of Lemon (Lens) & Limes (End of the arms and the nose bridge clips). Not sure if these were designed for golf, but they definitely look the part. I actually wear a pair of Oakleys for golf. They help me see the golf course landscape/terrain better and also assists in watching the my balls trajectory and roll. These will be available sometime this Month @ Oakley flagship stores.

Here's the 2nd pair of shades that Staple helped design. It's got that Retro 80's looking design that was at the time coined as being "futuristic". Very 80's and Very Retro. 1984 to be exact. I can see Kanye rocking these BIG-TIME. Especially with it's pipe cleaner type frames. They remind me of Sesame street character "Big Bird". Like I said, Very 80's. These Eyeshades are kinda cool looking, but not sure if I can pull it off. Unless I start to dress like some dudes on Miami Vice. Well, everyone is rocking deck shoes nowadays, why not STPL Oakley Eyeshades. Extremely limited to 150 pieces globally.

....Gene Starship (HVW8) art show and music by DJ Moonstarr. We had the official opening launch of Alibi Boutique/Gotsole and were honored to have Gene Starship displaying his "New Works". Music was supplied by none other than DJ Moonstarr and myself. It was an amazing turnout with loads of people enjoying the Art, music and beer. I would like to thank Converse, Brixton, Crooks & Castles and Carlsberg for sponsoring the night. It would not have been a success without your help and support.

Gene Starship made a special limited print for the art show/store launch, numbered at 60 pieces total. Also to commemorate the special evening, a black graphic V-neck T-shirt with 1 of Gene's pieces. Both the V-neck and the limited print are still available @ Alibi Boutique/Gotsole. located @ 506 Rachel st. east (corner Berri).

GOURMET GOODNESS WITH SOME UNDEFEATED INFLUENCE.

Undefeated Camp teams up with Gourmet on this amazing shoe called "Cinque" Chukka. I LOVE the classic silhouette with the hint of the Air Max 1 Toe bumper. Colorway is Ultra hot as in UNLV Runnin' Rebels. Similar to the Nike Dunk High Ultramans. I'm looking for a pair of these and was wondering if a local Montreal store would be getting these so I can scoop them up.

Jon Buscemi and company have evolved their own niche in the lifestyle sneakers market, but their latest collaboration with UNDEFEATED has some clear Nike inspiration. The UNDFTD x Gourmet Cinque pictured above is part of their Spring/Summer 2011 collection, but a look at the colorway and mudguard shape screams “1987!” As in, the OG Nike Air Max 1, which is clearly the jumping off point for this modified Cinque chukka"

STEVE NASH "SHOWDOWN IN CHINATOWN" PHOTOS.

I'm a little late in getting these photos up from the 3rd annual "Showdown in Chinatown" held @ the Sarah D. Roosevelt park in the LES (Lower East Side). It was an amazing event that was well organized and had a great turnout. The Charity soccer game was very exciting and had a number of NBA players, as well as former International Soccer Players, current MLS soccer players and an accomplished actor. So here are some of the photos. Hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed the game. Shouts to my boy Mbizzy for making it happen.
